Win11 Microsoft input method when renaming a file, input pinyin arrangement is the default vertical arrangement. If you want to change to horizontal, you can do this:
-
Press F2 on the file name to enter rename mode.
-
Type the first letter of pinyin into the input method, such as "y".
-
Wait a while and the input method will automatically pop up a candidate box.
-
Select the character you want in the candidate box.
-
Continue typing the first letter of the next pinyin, such as "l".
-
The input method will automatically bring up the next candidate box.
-
Repeat the above steps until you have entered a complete file name.
-
Press Enter in the candidate box of the input method to complete the file rename.
When entering pinyin, the candidate boxes are arranged vertically by default. If you want to change the format to horizontal, press Ctrl+Shift+V and the input method will change the format to horizontal. In the horizontal mode, the characters in the candidate box are arranged in a row, making it easier to view and select.
If you want to default to horizontal every time you type pinyin, you can change this in the input method Settings. The specific method is:
-
Open the Settings application.
-
Click on Time and Language.
-
Select Language from the left menu.
-
Click "Attach Keyboard" from the menu on the right.
-
Select Chinese(Simplified, China) - Microsoft Pinyin(Use level selection) from the Preferred Keyboard drop-down menu.
-
Closes the Settings application.
This way, each time you type pinyin, the input method automatically uses the horizontal arrangement mode, making it easier to use.
